ALOO TIL TIKKI








Preparation Time : 10-15 minutes
Cooking Time : 10-15 minutes
Servings : 4

INGREDIENTS

Potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
3-4 large
Pure ghee
2 tablespoons + to fry
White sesame seeds, roasted
1 cup
Green chillies, chopped
2 tablespoons
Rock salt (sendha namak)
to taste
Asafoetida
a pinch
Red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon
METHOD
Heat two tablespoons of ghee in a pan. Add sesame seeds, green chillies, coriander leaves, rock salt, asafetida, red chilli powder and mashed potatoes and mix well. Remove the mixture from heat and set aside to cool. Divide into ten to twelve portions and shape them into round tikkis. Heat sufficient ghee on a tawa and shallow fry the tikkis till both the sides are evenly golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with green chutney or lemon pickle
